New adventures!

I finally got the internet in my apartment so I am so sorry it has taken FOREVER to update my blog. So right now I am living in Linyi, Shondong. I am teaching English at the Linyi Normal University. It's an interesting name but this city is pretty interesting so it works out well. We have already experienced many adventures. First off as soon as we got into SanFransisco we met Elder oaks which was awesome. His wife is absolutley beautiful! We then spent about 3 days or so in Shanghi so we could adapt a little to the culture and get a little bit of an orientation. The weather has been VERY cooled and so we've been trying to survive it for another month or so. I have had a big culture shock to many different things. Food for one. I have tried many many things that i didn't even know people ate. They really don't waste any thing here! I have tried octopus, pig intestents, and many types of interesting plants and fish. Not by choice but by being polite. American teachers here are seriously viewed as celebreties! Everywhere we go we are circled by crowds of people, having pictures shot of us or people yelling out how beautiful we are. There are about 10 girls that I hang out with. All of us are from utah, Washington, Idaho and one from Ohio. But we get along so well and are all about the same age. It has made life so much easier. Since we haven't actually started teaching yet our normal day usually involves TRYING to find food, but we have found one place that has sweet and sour pork thats to die for! We then make a trip into people square which you do most of your shopping then we just all hangout. We usually take the bus or taxes but no matter how was get our transportation we are taking a risk! The streets here are insane! I really don't think they have traffic laws. We see police man but they never are doing anything. Cars, buses, bikes or anything else you can name will keep going and it doesn't matter whats in there way they don't stop!!!! We've learned to just trust our drivers because they have obviously done this long enough since they are still alive! We start teaching on Tuesday so I am so excited for that! But most of these pictures are of us in Shanghi, getting into Linyi with all the teachers and us at the lantern Festival with the people of Linyi who absolutley LOVED us and wouldn't ever leave us alone!
