Life in the Spring (April-May 2015)

While pregnant with Sophie, Wayne and I would stay up late talking about what our lives would soon be like with two children verses just the one. We knew our restful nights would become restless, our home would be cluttered with bottles, diapers, bouncy chairs, and every annoying, yet necessary baby item. We also spoke of our children becoming friends, and playmates. Over the last few months, all those restless nights, and cluttered messy rooms, seem to not matter. I find my focus on the joy between Sam and Sophie. They are two peas in a pod. The laughter between a little girl, and her big brother, is the greatest sound. I have loved watching these two become best friends.

Sam likes to surprise us sometimes

This was Samuel's second year playing soccer. He may have not been the fastest of the bunch, or most coordinated but he was definitely the most free, spunky, Kung Fu kicking kid out there. At first Wayne and I thought what the heck is our child doing! Why doesn't he care to score a goal, or beat that kid to the ball? After a few games we finally sat back and laughed at our little boy who just wanted to have fun. He may have not brought much to the team points wise, but he brought a whole lot of personality. Go team Sam!
(Oh, we did win first place, thank you to one player who we are all positive we will see in the world cup some day. Thanks Edward for the awesome trophies.)

Easter Festivities

Egg Hunt #1
Egg hunt # 2
Easter Morning. Sophie seems to have the Hill glare down.
My best friend Sabrina made the trip out to visit us! Sam was so excited to make her a "Welcome" sign. Our week was full of laughter, crying, Disney World, food, the beach, and shopping. I have lived in a handful of places, and Sabrina is always the friend to drop her busy life to make time for me. Over these last 10 years of living in different parts of the country, our friendship has never been stronger. We go days, and even weeks without speaking at times, but it never matters. We are always there when needed. You don't find friends like that very often.

sorry Sabrina. Great memories.These
were the most "modest" of the bunch
